Are you looking for a different dining experience within walking distance of X condos? Then try Spirits Bar and Grill- a pub not only dedicated to serving fresh and hot meals but also in providing live entertainment on various nights of the week.

The entertainment varies from comedy to karaoke to music, which is precisely what sets Spirits apart from the conventional local pub. Come for comedy night on Wednesdays with Jo-Anna Downey and various other Toronto comedians for an always hilarious show while enjoying a beer and burger. On Saturdays, guests can participate in karaoke with their friends, with no reservations or sign-ups necessary. Finally, on lazy Sundays, guests can unwind to music being performed by open-mic performers who offer different genres of music every week.

But live entertainment is not the only asset that Spirits Bar holds of course, it’s the food and beer that brings people in and keeps them coming back for more! Enjoy pub classics made fresh daily, from sandwiches to pizzas to skin-cut fries and even desserts. Offering a kids menu that includes nachos, pizzas, veggie platters, and chicken fingers, Spirits is also the perfect place to drop by with the kids for a quick lunch any day of the week.

O Noir Brings Something Different to the Table

Just a block over from X, O Noir is Toronto’s first “dine in the dark” experience. After their orders are taken, guests are ushered into a pitch-black room, where they are waited on by visually impaired servers. According to founder Moe Alameddine, “When you eat food in the dark, your remaining senses are heightened to savour the smell and taste of food”.

Guests choose from options on a $39 three-course menu prepared by chef Assad Chowdhury, originally of the Montreal location. Starters include grilled octopus with olive oil and lime, while the main dishes feature a five spice filet mignon served with potatoes and vegetables. For dessert, enjoy the dark chocolate mousse with raspberry. The menu also features “surprise” starters, main dishes and desserts which, without your sight, are all the more surprising!

The first “blind dining” restaurant was “Blinke Kuh” (meaning blind cow), which opened in Zurich in 1999. Since then blind dining restaurants have expanded worldwide and can be found in such locations as Cologne, Berlin, London, Paris, Moscow, L.A., San Diego, San Francisco and Montreal.

Xplore. Xcite. O Noir can be part of your amazing X lifestyle. Do not miss this unique dining experience, just minutes away from X!
